ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND, USA, October 26, 2026 – Hull Shield, a leading global brand of ultrasonic antifouling products, will exhibit at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), October 28 to November 1, 2026, at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Booth 438.
Hull Shield ultrasonic antifouling systems use high-frequency sound waves to reduce fouling on hulls, running gear and seawater systems. Fouling degrades performance and adds cost through fuel burn, diver cleanings, bottom painting and downtime. Hull Shield products reduce the need for frequent bottom painting and lower the costs of maintenance, labor, repairs and lost days on the water.
On display in Fort Lauderdale will be the full Hull Shield range, from the HDi Series for boats from 30 to 80 feet to the HDY Series, the company’s high-power system for yachts and superyachts from 65 feet to 150 feet and beyond. HDY delivers 100 W pulse power per transducer, up to ten independent channels per controller and shielded, cut-to-length signal cable. Hull Shield is now fitted by builders including Ocean Alexander, Hinckley, Outer Reef Yachts, North Pacific Yachts and Aquila, which recently completed its 100th factory installation of Hull Shield.
“Every owner at this show knows what a fouled hull costs in fuel, divers and haul-outs. At Booth 438 we will show how Hull Shield HDi and HDY systems take that off the bill, with the builders and yachts already running it,” said Mike Mahaffey of Hull Shield.
Yacht owners, captains, engineers and shipyards can come to the booth for an on-the-spot starting layout, or use the online sizing tool ahead of the show to see how transducers and controllers add up for their vessel.
FLIBS is the largest in-water boat show in the world, with more than 1,000 exhibitors and vessels from tenders to superyachts across seven sites along the Fort Lauderdale waterfront. Show hours are noon to 7 pm on Wednesday, 10 am to 7 pm Thursday through Saturday, and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Tickets are sold online only.
Based in Annapolis, Maryland, Hull Shield products also work to protect the environment by reducing the chemicals and toxins introduced into the marine ecosystem through traditional bottom-paint maintenance.
